  • For more information on ways to prevent conflicts with wildlife, please visit our Living with Wildlife Page. The term “nuisance” refers to an individual animal’s behavior per F.A.C. 68A-1.004 and 68A-9.010. Nuisance wildlife in Florida is defined as wildlife that:
    • Causes or is about to cause property damage
    • Presents a threat to public safety
    • Causes an annoyance within, under or upon a building

  • Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators on this registry are not regulated by the FWC, but must follow all applicable rules and regulations concerning nuisance wildlife removal. This Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator’s Registry is maintained by FWC as a public service and being listed in the registry does not constitute an endorsement by the Agency.
  • Nuisance Wildlife Removal is a Commercial activity offered by private businesses. Customers should expect to be charged for nuisance wildlife control services.
  • FWC recommends that customers receive quotes from different providers, request and check references, verify the provider is insured, and check for any complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau or similar organization.
